Meherjan is a typical homeless women who lives in a slam. She lost her shelter and properties due to the erosion of river Jamuna. She also lost her family. Her husband had died of diseases caused by poverty and shortage of food. Now she is only a slam dweller. Like Mahajan there are many people who have become the victims of river erosion. River erosion is still posing threats to the lives and properties of thousands of people. People living close to the rivers are the most likely victims of river erosion. Each year about one lakh people become homeless due to river erosion in Bangladesh. Meherjan’s life is just one example of how climate change affects the lives of thousands of people.

Deforestation means cutting down trees at random. It refers to the removal of trees and vegetation intentionally from forest areas for agricultural or commercial purpose. This is a major threat for the whole world. different station is taking place all around the world. As a result, people are facing the bad impacts of deforestation all over the world. Most common effects of deforestation is climate change. Due to deforestation, the sea level is rising very fast alarmingly. Biodiversity is being damaged as an impact of deforestation. But the greedy people are still cutting down trees.
We are living in Gazipur. Recently, a large area has been cleared by cutting down thousands of trees in our locality. No solution found after contacting the local authority.
