Nature’s Tapestry class 9 2.3.4

This is the solution of activity 2.3.4 the title of this experience is nature’s tapestry. In this activity students will learn about the use of auditory and visual imagery used in this poem on the grasshopper and the cricket. This is a sample solution for the students. Students will try first then they can match their answer with our answer.

Now in groups read the poem again and match the sound images in column a with their description in column b.

Solution of nature’s tapestry 2.3.4 :

A + iii – a voice will run from hedge to hedge about the new moan mead – this line suggest the sound of a voice travelling from one Haze to another. This lines have created and auditory image of movement and communication.

B+ V – there shrills/the cricket song in warmth increasing ever – the word shrills and the mention of the cricket song evoke the auditory experience of the sound the cricket makes which ads to the imagery of warmth and increasing sound.

C+ i – hide in cooling tree – 3S a visual image of birds seeking refuge from the hot son in the sheed of trees.

D + ii – faint with the hot sun – create a sense of heat and warmth for the suns intensity

E + iv – lonely winter evening when the Frost – suggest the cold and frosty atmosphere of winter
