Cell division is a fundamental and essential process for the physical growth and reproduction of an organism. The process by which one to two or four new cells are formed through the division of living cells is called cell division. The new cell formed as a result of division is called the daughter cell and the cell that divides is called the mother cell.

There are 3 types of cell division. E.g.

  2. Mitosis and
  3. Miosiscell division.
